Also in Monte Corona is the Redwood Forest, with 848 specimens, with an average height of 26 metres and an average circumference of 1.6 metres.

Nearby is also the Oyambre Natural Park, where its extensive beaches such as Oyambre and Merón are perfect for relaxing or surfing, while enjoying the biodiversity that characterises this protected area.

In San Vicente de la Barquera, you can stroll around its traditional fishing port and enjoy the views of the imposing Picos de Europa.

For a trip back in time, Santillana del Mar is a must, with its cobbled streets, and its iconic Collegiate Church of Santa Juliana, one of the finest examples of Romanesque art in Cantabria.

Monte Corona
(2.5 km)

Various routes can be followed, both on foot and by bicycle. It has two hermitages, San Antonio and San Esteban. The latter is the closest to our accommodation and can be reached on foot or by car.

Comillas
(3 km)

Coastal town located on the western coast of Cantabria. It has several modernist monuments such as the Sobrellano Palace, Gaudí's El Capricho and the Pontifical University.

Oyambre Park
(8 km)

A natural area made up of beaches, green meadows, estuaries, a rich fauna and beautiful views of the Picos de Europa. The beaches of Oyambre and Merón, both of which are very long, and its proximity to Monte Corona stand out.

San Vicente de la Barquera
(15 km)

Located on the western coast of Cantabria. It has several long beaches on the outskirts of the town centre. In the centre of the town is the old quarter, the most significant monument being the Castillo del Rey (King's Castle).
